 Petworth
is a neighborhood that knows how to worship. On some streets,
several churches sit within shouting (or preaching) distance
of each other. Almost every taste in religion is supported.
Those that aren't are probably in one of our neighboring neighborhoods!
I received the wonderful picture to the right from Charlie
McGovern, who was born and raised in Petworth. According to
him, this church sat on the corner of New Hampshire and Buchanan.
The church was demolished and the land is now part of Rock
Creek Cemetary.
